Infrasound Sensors

High Resolution, Wide Band Infrasound: Model 64 S.

With reduced noise, and a wider band-pass, the M64S delivers clean, detailed data with simple installation for any Infrasound application.

Model 60/64 Series

Now in its second generation, With lower noise and larger dynamic range. The Chaparral Physics Model 60/64 series sensors are dramatically smaller and lighter than competing sensors. They are ideal for use at remote sites and in portable applications.

  • Rugged and field ready
  • Low power consumption minimizes battery weight
  • 13 octave bandwidth
  • Outstanding temperature stability
  • Low vibration sensitivity
  • Excellent unit to unit matching of sensitivity and frequency response
  • Cost effective

Model 25/21

Models 25/21 are cost-effective and durable sensors for the mid-infrasound to low-audio bandwidth. These sensors excel in campaign-style deployments.

  • Very rugged: can be deployed in open
  • Low seismic sensitivity
  • High dynamic range
  • Low noise floor
  • Differential output
  • Switchable high and low gains
  • Self-diagnostics
  • 4-port manifold for wind-noise reduction array (Model 25)
  • 0.1 Hz to 200 Hz bandwidth
  • Low power consumption: <480 mW

To get additional information, answers to infrasound related questions, request a quote, or make an order, please email us at: uaf-chaparralphysics@alaska.edu. For a formal quote we need your billing address, shipping address, and the models and number of sensors you are interested in

*The standard Model 25 ports are approximately equally spaced.

Chaparral Physics is able to customize the sensor to your needs. Please inquire aboutcustom sensitivities or other modifications to make the sensor best fit your application.

Delivery of any ordered units will be quoted at order placement and will depend onquantity ordered and on Chaparral Physics’ current production demands. We generallyattempt to keep all delivery times to less than 90 days with a target of 30-60 days ARO. Large orders may have split delivery dates quoted.

All Chaparral sensors can also be manufactured with the Vx modification, to allowrecording of signals up to 720 Pa peak to peak without clipping.
